So how do we lure the squirrels to the riverbanks?

Can we put the catfish around statues?

Sit atop statues. There are no catfish there.

Mott The Hoople and The Rolling Stones form a band together.
The Rolling Hoople Mott The Stones. Who incidentally opened for Jeremy and Chad.

Easy to solve. Plant catnip along the riverbank. The catfish will go wild.
An alternative would be to introduce pythons, who would eat the fish.

They can be quite big. Largest Wels catfish caught:
Weight: 280 lbs (127 kg)
Length: 8.75 ft (2.67 m)
Location: Po Delta, Italy
Year Caught: 2015
Species: Wels Catfish (Silurus glanis)
Probably I would need a bucket of tartar sauce to have it for dinner.

If they'll eat my pigeons, send me a couple and I will build them a heated f***ing pond.
