And this being Australia, the mice are probably deadly... So feeding them to stay on their good side is a reasonable strategy.

Well, one thing, they don't take up much space, so the hotels can get a lot more rooms rented.

I'd worry more about the venomous snakes and giant spiders hunting the mice.

This has got to be fake news. It's so hard to believe any mice got past the hordes of huge spiders and venomous snakes and make it to an Australian hotel room. Well, maybe if they started out as a really, really large herd of mice...maybe.

Doesn't say a whole lot about the quality of Australian hotels, does it?
And since the "guests" have to do their own housekeeping, do you figure they get a break on the room rate? I bet not.
