The 1990s Toyota Camry is apparently the vehicle of choice for rooftop transport of scrap metal and snowmobiles. What's next? Livestock? Building materials? We probably won't have to wait long to find out.

The perp had no problems hauling off a 25 foot tree in Madison, Wisconsin. He claimed he just didn't know Florida cops were so nit-picky.

So it's a vehicle that sports a utility pole on the roof, thus a crossover then, between a sedan and a SUV. If they gave him a ticket for following too closely it'll never stand up in court.

When he hauls in an overhead gantry complete with road signs, I'll be impressed.

I have one of those planted in my front yard. The former owner of the house got the broken piece from someone in the state DOT 40 years ago and used it as a flagpole with a birdhouse on top. I could remove it, but as the article says, it is difficult to legally dispose of it.
