Sex Pistols star Johnny Rotten bitten by a flea after rescuing squirrels

This happens far too often.

Well, there's another headline I never thought I'd see.

Don't you hate it when you bite into something and it turns out to be Rotten?

Befriend some squirrels and fleas bite you in the willie, no good deed goes unpunished.

Bubonic plague or the Black Death originates from rodents infested with fleas containing the yersinia Pestis bacterium. The site of the flea bite starts swelling, so Mr. Rotten may not seek prompt medical care. That could end badly. And there are several cases reported in the Western States annually.

Of course, The Squirrels (Which are just bushy tailed rodents) would never be so devious as to resort to germ warfare...would they?

I feel sorry for the flea.

Did the other members of The Red Hot Chili Peppers participate too?

He should have gone to a flea market.

I once brought our cat to a flea market and sold her fleas for $20.

*Snork* at 655321!

As I sit here in the office snorking, the radio station with the Christmas songs from hell is playing this song. I would rather be bit on the Johnny Rotten at 2 minute intervals for an hour by a flea than listen to this collaboration.

I'm thinking I should post a sign in my workroom, Zephyr Song Ok. Just no Stairway.

I feel the same way wiredog.
In case Mr. Rotten should read this: Vaseline doesn't help bug bites! It just makes the area slippery. A former president learned this the hard way and that's why they called him, Slick Willie. I could be wrong about that last part.

Old Arab Curse: May the fleas of a thousand camels infect your underwear.

Giggled at this take on Twitter from Patton Oswalt: "I wish Mad Libs were this much fun when I was a kid."

Many of us hope the flea is OK.

My My, Hey Hey *

The flea is gone
but he's not forgotten
This is the story
of Johnny Rotten
It's better to apply an ice pack and use calamine lotion
than it is to scratch
The flea is gone
but he's not forgotten.

* with an apology to Neil Young

Kudos to Marc!

Flea, lead bass player for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, could not be reached for comment.

Now playing: Give it away, in Bedrock?

Flea, lead bass player? There's a rhythm bass player named, Tick? Thanks for the video. Anthony looks good.

PB and MT - I suppose, since a band rarely has more than one bass player, the one it has is by default "lead", but it seems an unneeded redundancy.

To quote Jimi hendrix:

"move over, let Flea take over."

Little known, often please don't let me be misunderstood, Rock History fact.

Lennon/McCartney/Flea

That old Black magic.

Rock & Roll?
Fleas?
Squirrels?

Surely the end of the world is nigh.
