A DAY OF REMEMBRANCE
Today is the 50th anniversary of the day the Oregon Highway Division used a half-ton of dynamite to detonate a deceased whale. We can all agree that this is without question the most wonderful thing that has ever happened. Here's a detailed account of this historic event by the Oregon Historical Society.
Moral of the story: If you're gonna do something never go halfway, next time use a full ton (or maybe two).

The Roswell space aliens claim if humans stopped blowing money on politics and focused on scientific developments many of the problems we have today could be easily taken care of. Even alien kids could teleport a dead whale into the halls of Congress when they are actually in session and give them A real problem to work on.
