Just Say No

This a fictional account, yes?

Many have speculated how the world will end. From these 'fashion' photos I believe T.S. Eliot may have come the closest if he had made the following change in wording:

"This is the way the world ends, not with a bang,
but with a whimper."

“I think of Europeans as being very style conscious...”

When you're gagging over clothing choices, you don't notice and rotting teeth and bad breath.

Oh, Hell no.

No David Beckham no! How could you?

Well I was very stylish in my day with knee socks and platform sandals.

It's northern thing. They want to wear sandals, but it's actually too damn cold for it. So...socks.

Here in Texas, I wear sandals most of the year. No socks. And my feet don't get cold.

Who names their kid Harper Seven?

Burt Macklin, maybe some guy named Harper Six? His brother's name is Harper Eight.

Will everyone please disregard the fact I've accidentally given my real name in the above post.

nursecindy---considering the age and memory status of many bloggers here, most have already forgotten your real name. For those in witness protection, however, that mistake could be a game changer. Of course you don't have anything to fret--we hope.

Socks and sandals were de reguir in the Roman Empire. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/science/science-news/7964516/Romans-wore-socks-with-sandals-new-British-dig-suggests.html

NC - If you hadn't brought it up, no one would connect it to you. But I have to ask, did kids in school change that to "Rooster Man"?

nursecindy:

You mean... your real last name is REDACTED?

Also, I've always pictured you with the physique of Vera-Lynn and the sparkling wit of Ginger Rogers... please try not to destroy that illusion.
