"Glacier Mice" would, obviously, be an awesome name for a post-modern alt-punk band.
Oh, and if you were wondering if there were Vegan Tribbles (also a great name etc.), well, now you know.

Another sign of global warming. Glaciers are warm enough on the surface to sustain moss. This is a new and troubling phenomenon.
It is my opinion that it is too late to anything about global warming.
If the virus doesn't get us all, climate change will.
Humans as an invasive species are done for.

If they've got 23 legs there's probably an accordion sticking out of the glacier nearby.

Seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind or (like a Flock of Fuzzy Green Feathered Creature Glacier Mice, Live).
Lyrics by Bernie Taupin
And all this science I don't understand
It's just my job five days a week
A rocket man, a rocket man
Refrain
Oh Peace Train sounding louder
Glide on the Peace Train
Come on now, Peace Train
Yes, Peace Train holy roller
There rides a Peace Train
Everyone jump upon the Peace Train
Yes, it's the peace train
Come on now, peace train
Oh, peace train
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone
And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Goodbye Norman Jean

" colony of moss balls "
I'm sure I don't have to explain what this would be a great name for.
Posted by: Clankie | May 27, 2020 at 12:57 PM
... previously observed that the balls sometimes could be found teetering on a pedestal of ice.
Those would be the Kings of Glacier Mice, presumably.

So a rolling moss gathers no stones?

Exactly how does one become a Glaciologist?
Posted by: nursecindy | May 27, 2020 at 04:09 PM
Cindy, probably by deciding your earlier decision to become a volcanologist was too dangerous.
Posted by: Rod Nunley | May 27, 2020 at 07:34 PM
Well, if outstanding in his field defines a farmer, then maybe outstanding on a glacier?
