Q: Why is it that bagpipe players are always walking?

A: To get away from the sound.

Playing any type of bagpipe is an excellent way to maintain 'social distancing.'

This has an advantage over regular bagpipes of having a readily available garbage bag for disposal.

Remember, somebody in your neighborhood is probably doing this right now. Be afraid, be very afraid.

The bagpipe is the larval form of the accordion.

I am going to make sure to hide this article from my sons ...

Snork @ pogo

I think this concept originally appeared as a 1936 article in Popular Mechanics, next to an article about soon to be everywhere flying cars.

I updated my post-life bucket list to include "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" on bagpipes to be played at some solemn occasion.

Or at Central Park

Due to government social regulations, manufacture, possession, use of (especially use of) or being within 6ft. of anything resembling a bagpipe can be considered a hanging offense in Texas until further notice.

@Le Petomane - This needs to be a Federal regulation. Hanging is too good for such miscreants.

Le Pet, I have a neighbor I suspect would impose that very punishment on anybody nearby who would attempt this.

We are a nation with too much time on its hands.

So young man, you want to learn the 'pipes do ye?
Yer sure o' that sunny?
Very much sir!
OK, first take one of these knitting needles in each 'and.
I got em sir!
Now push needle in to yer ears and give em a twirl.
But sir if I do as you say I won't be able to hear the 'pipes!?

“A gentleman is someone who knows how to play the bagpipes, but doesn’t.”

My daughter is a kindergarten teacher. She's been sending out things labeled as "fun activities" for parents to do with their children while everyone is stuck at home. This one is going out tomorrow. Bwahahahahahaha!

There was a time men when in white coats with a big butterfly net and a nice canvas jacket would be sent to help nursecindy recover....

I once saw a man who was playing the bagpipes and wearing trousers. He subjected us to his noise without even having the decency to treat us to his knees. What a JERK
