How one Florida woman amassed a collection of more than 21,000 banana labels

I might have collected about 10 for one particular prank. I think she might have passed the line to Florida Normal Adjacent

At first I was just going to say that she has way too much time on her hands, but after reading the article - and as someone who totally gets the Collector Mentality - I found it fascinating, if still kind of weird.

I collect them in bunches, she said

She wouldn't have much luck here. The only brands our grocery stores sell are Chiquita or Dole.

Come Mr. Tally Man, tally me banana labels....

Still not as weird as taping them to a wall.

I find it awfully hard to believe there have ever been 21,000 different styles of banana label. She must have lots of duplicates.

And I wonder if her collection will be worth anything once bananas are extinct?
