Since the value of this car was so low the crime was a misdemeanor? Come on, cops. That pit bull is worth money and in Texas, dog rustling is a hanging offense.

The store name is Loaf ‘N Jug?

Le Pet, I don't know about dog rustling, but when I was a kid, if you stole a steak from someone's fridge, that technically was cattle rustling, which was still a capital offense at the time.

Glad the dog was okay.

NMUA: I saw that, too.

Key Quote:
"There was extensive damage to the vehicle as a result of the crash. The crash caused extensive damage to the vehicle .."

Gee, I wonder if the vehicle was damaged.

NMUA---Yep, Loaf 'N Jugs are a convenience store chain in New Mexico and Colorado where I grew up. There are quite a few of them. In my younger years in high school and college (3,2% beer was legal to buy at age 18), we commonly changed the Omar Khayyam poem line of "A loaf of bread a jug of wine and thou." to "A loaf of bread, a jug of Colt 45 and thou."

We are SO lucky cops were more understanding in those days.

LePet, you're such a romantic.

Let's hope the dog took a bite out of crime.

Pit bull in car= ultimate car alarm.

Hey, you know your car really bites?
How many times do I have to tell you not to sit in the back seat?
