"3 transmission marker balls, 36 inch diameter, each half of two of each unit is either cracked or crushed in, but the other halves appear to be intact and could be repurposed for some other use."
Nothing says not-loving like cracked and or crushed balls.

Does the purchaser have to climb out on the high-voltage wires himself to pick these up?

Wanderer — only if you want fresh balls

Maybe for use as fishing bobbers ?

Soon television commercials will be filled with a new designer drug to treat the heartbreak of cracked transmission balls.

If two balls each have a damaged half, why isn't it possible to reassemble the two undamaged halves into one intact ball suitable for its original purpose, rather than recycling? Is there a 472 page government regulation concerning the proper management of balls?

Ralph, put another 2 in front of that number, and you'll be closer to the truth.
