In Louisiana, ours are airborne and have been designated official state bird.

His complaint was that he couldn't get "We Are Family" out of his head.

Here's a tip. If you ever get a flying insect or something like this in your ear, turn out the lights in a room and shine a flashlight into the ear canal. They'll generally come towards the light and out of your ear. I've spent many happy hours in the ER doing this for people who've gotten insects in their ears. Being an ER nurse isn't always glamorous.

It's always heartwarming to hear a story about an immigrant family.
