Please visit Florida and experience first-hand the sunshine and our congenial culture including our renowned ever growing population of people under the influence of an unknown substance.

The headline in the embedded video ("Florida man accused of shooting cat with crossbow") reminds me of an infamous headline in the early '90s in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram:

"Poodle slain by archer"

That headline was the source of both outrage and amusement, and cost a couple of people their jobs.

By the way, the FWST is the Miami Herald's corporate cousin (for as long as McClatchy lasts, which may not be much longer).

Apparently using ceiling snakes for security is working out as well as hoped.
