James Dinkins, 73, was arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge after police said he slapped the Yankees fan in the back of the head at Minute Maid Park. The unidentified Yankees fan was just cheering for his team at one point during the game, police said.

I picture a 73-year-old man who forgot to put on his glasses before He swung and hit the guy in the back of his head saying, "pick up your teeth, punk."

If it had been a Cubs fan he would have needed a 2 by 4.

I’m not sure why slapping a Yankees fan is not a required act at any stadium. In Houston, he’s lucky James didn’t hogtie him and throw him in the aisle under the seats.

If ever there was evidence that foreign (i. e., American) interests are infiltrating and trying to destroy Texas, this is it. Misdemeanor, hell, this sort of thing used you get you a medal.

I totally agree with Ruthenium. The kid got off easy.

In some cultures this is considered a sign of great respect. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I thought that a slap on the back of the head was the normal response to "Let's go to the gas station and eat sushi".

This is Texas Justice writ large. In New York we just resort to the traditional "Red Sox Suck" chant.

"New York City! Get a rope."

When any of the Three Stooges slapped someone on the back of the head they just got laughs.

Le Pet, to think that those Stooges shorts probably couldn't even be made today. Too much gratuitous violence, y'know.
