Of course, the greatest of them all is the jalapeño. The only thing it won't improve is ice cream (and I've tried that, so I know).

Here is the thing: Americans are living longer, healthier and fatter lives than ever before, yet we are still hand wringing over our lack of 'proper nutrition'.
I shall retire to Bedlam.

Kale didn't make the Most Hated list? I demand a recount!

Squash. It simply has to taste like it sounds.

Wandrer2575 is right. Kale is the main reason a quarter of the people don't eat vegetables. Perhaps it would be edible added to gagh or haggis, but many of us don't care.

Anytime someone tries to get me to eat vegetables all I hear is Rhubarb Rhubarb Rhubarb....

Just about everyone has eaten a corn dog, and I'm pretty sure it's a vegetable.

@Rod Nunley--Yep, chilies are great. The long Green New Mexico chilies are also quite good as are jalapenos. Years ago we ate at a restaurant in Colorado that served jalapenos that were totally different, but great. Take a can of pickled jalapeno peppers. Drain and slice lengthwise scraping out seeds. Wash and pack the halves with peanut butter and chill. The peanut butter cuts the pepper heat. This is worth a try.

And about spinach - only Satan worshippers eat spinach, since it is Satan's food. It is the most vile "food" on the Earth.

Le Pet, the custom around here is to stuff them with cream cheese (mostly). But those too lazy to do that are known to arm themselves with a plate of halved jalapeños and a can of Cheez Whiz.
Clankie, indeed there are corny dogs that give the appearance of being all vegeteble, as there's no evidence of a hot dog in them. But right now it's State Fair time in Dallas, and the corny dogs there are renowned for having a weenie in them that could double as a sex toy..;and for some people, probably have at one time or another.

They've eaten vegetables. Lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, onions: the standard ingredients of a fast-food hamburger.

@ wanderer2575 -
My mother made kale about twice a month when I was growing up. I modified her recipe, maybe you would like to try it:
You will need:
Dutch oven
Red pepper flakes
water
kale - enough to half fill a dutch-oven (after the large veins(?) are removed and washed)
Potatoes - (I use canned whole potatoes with the 'juice')
Cut string beans - (canned as above)
carrots - (canned as above)
smoked neck - (also called smoked but)
Unwrap smoked neck and remove casing or netting an place in dutch oven add potatoes, string beans and carrots with the can 'juices'.
Add enough extra water to just cover the meat.
Loosely Layer the kale leaves in the pot, lightly sprinkling pepper flakes between layers.
Cover and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and continue cooking until kale is WELL DONE.
Turn off heat and let set for 5 - 10 minuter.
Remove Kale to large dish.
Remove smoked butt to cutting surface.
Remove vegetables to bowel (add butter if desired)
Slice meat into 3/4 inch slices.
To serve (makes 4 to 6 servings):
On each plate place 1-2 slices of meat and vegetables
serve.
Cleanup:
Properly dispose of all Kale.
Enjoy.
