STRUMPDATE
Alan Zweibel, Adam Mansbach and I had a great time last night at the 92nd Street Y in NYC talking with The hilarious Judy Gold about our new book, “A Field Guide to the Jewish People.” Here Adam and I are enjoying something Judy said while Alan, as is his wont, struggles to comprehend what is going on.

I hope there's a section on the care and feeding of Jewish mothers. Not to take anything away from Dave and Company, but one of the most hilarious (and true) books I've read is Dan Greenburg's How to Be a Jewish Mother. I still remember one of his practice exercises: "Give your son Melvin two sports shirts as a gift. The first time he wears one of them, sigh and say 'The other one you didn't like?'"

Nothing against Mr. Zweibel but, if I saw a patient looking like that in the ER waiting room, I'd bring him back first.

To each his own wont.

Must have been good. We've seen Judy Gold doing an autobiographical one-woman show twice - the first was 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother - and she was great. If you want to know what it is like to be a 6'3" tall Jewish lesbian mother, she is your go-to person.

Hopefully that fixed it.

I'm not certain but it looks to me like he might've just cut one.
