Still no match for the length of a CVS Pharmacy receipt.

True, wanderer, true.

United Health Care has removed the espresso machine from their billing department.

Physician, heal thyself.

This is about the length of an itemized bill for a stay in the hospital.

After my mother died, I had her mail forwarded to my address. Last year during open enrollment, I received 15 large postcards from a chain of care providers, all seeking her business. So I scanned them onto a PDF and sent a terse letter saying that given where my mom was, she was unable to "meet her health goals" and "make meaningful strides for a healthier lifestyle." In bold caps in the center of the letter, I said: SHE IS DEAD. IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, REMOVE HER NAME & ADDRESS FROM YOUR SYSTEM AND DO NOT SEND THESE ANY MORE.
It worked.
