Back in the early days of the Rock Bottom Remainders, we had T-shirts that said "This band plays music as well as Metallica writes novels."

“L” stands for “Lulu”
our album with Lou Reed.
It was worse by far than anything
by Korn, Limp Bizkit, or Creed.

I might have to pre-order a copy for my local public library. And a couple of church libraries.

Imagine the look on a new mom's face when you give her this book for her new baby.

"this is some hardcore wholesome stuff right here"

One wonders the next slogan the RBRs will use to inspire other bands.

I'm holding out for Ozzy's children's book.

If anyone gets the chance, give the documentary ‘Mission to Lars’ a look-see. It was made a few years ago by some family friends of ours and follows the journey of Tom who lives with Fragile X Syndrome and the efforts his brother and sister Kate and Will go to so he can meet his hero, the Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich. It’s a little gem.
