A dispute over custody of a hedgehog turned violent Sunday evening when a Florida woman allegedly struck her mother several times in an attempt to take the spiny mammal from the family’s home.

Seventeen years later at age thirty-five Emma shows up at her mother's door and says, "I thought about the hedgehog a lot and occasionally thought about you, too."

Sounds like that teen had the right concept about leaving home when her mother talked to her about following directions .. execution, not so much.

No one likes a hedgehog hog.

Hedgehogs in Florida?

"May I please be returned to the wild? Any comfy hedge will do."

The hedgehog is safe and now running a hedge fund.
