Smuggler hid 5,000 live, blood-sucking leeches in his carry-on, Canadian officials say

Eek. I wish I had not read the article.

I didn't know Members of Congress where able to be smuggled?

Or was it lawyers?

An MD friend had books on early medicine. Leeches were used to cleanse open wounds before they knew about bacteria or even washing hands before performing surgery. Leeches actually saved a lot of lives. I believe they are still used in some situations.

I saw Medicinal Leeches open for Dr. John.

I saw 5,000 Leaches open for 10,000 Maniacs.

Blood sucking leeches...or as i call them "Children"
