I haven't ridden the SkyWheel yet, but I've seen it. They have an upcoming promo where you will be able to take your dog on the ride with you.
Dave - that would be a great reason for you and Lucy to add Cincinnati to the book tour! Just avoid car #195; I'm told that's the "sex car".
