I thought that's why bagels were sliced like bread -- to draw alligators into public areas

It was probably an older alligator just trying to catch the Early Bird buffet.

Florida Education Code requires mandatory education for all "children" between 6 and 16, but does not define "children," although it does define "parent." Why can't an alligator over six years old go to school?
