A Tampa man reported an income of $18,497. The IRS sent him a refund check for $980,000.

Probably because of that " You Poor Man, Having to Live in Tampa " Deduction.

When I first saw the headline I thought, I want the contact information for this dude's accountant. Then I read the article....

What a coincidence. I made $980,000 last year and they only took $18,497 in taxes.
Note to any IRS people who may read this:
This is merely my small attempt at humor. If you combined my income for every year I've ever worked it would not total anywhere close to $980,000. Don't hurt me. I love you all.

That looks about right. Don’t forget, they are using politician math.

I believe that Steve (Mr. Davos) Mnuchin and Wilbur Ross gave him tax advice.


Mr Blanchette wanted to live in a big house. He will certainly get that wish...
