Bane?

They say that if you keep moving, you'll feel warmer.

All Weather Gym class. HS elective. Outdoors for the hour wearing only gym shorts and short sleeve T-shirt. Temp = zero, sub zero. Wind chill = -20. I know how this guy feels. Could take him.

"Insane" is definitely le mot juste.

It was a fundraiser for kids with CP and related movement disorders.

After payday, I think I'll send him cause some cold, hard cash.

To Build A Fire is a classic Jack London story of a man and a dog traveling in -75 degree weather. It was so cold that when the man spit, it would freeze and pop before it could hit the ground.
The story has another, supposedly unpublished version, that is told in Alaskan and Canadian wilderness lodges. In this story the man stops to pee on a tree.
This version, also, does not end well for the man.

The dog makes out fine, however.

The other day I was wearing sweatpants, a sweatshirt, thick socks, and a heated throw while I hunkered down in my recliner. It was 38 degrees outside. I think it's safe to say I'd never make it in Siberia.

Not only are Siberians hearty and strong, they may be a little bit more gullible, perhaps?
