Wow not what I would expect on a pretty beach like that. Amazing how they can swallow up stuff.

This probably won't help, but the snake is more scared of you than you are of it. Did this help ?

I fail to see a problem. This being in Australia, the lizard was also highly venomous. The bottom line is there's one less deadly critter to fret about.
