Well, of course Rush Limbaugh believes sharks are riding the storm too.

There are places which have neither hurricanes, nor fire ants nor poisonous snakes. Move there.

@Clankie - No, here in Calgary, Canada we don't have those things - but we have snow, today, still technically during summer.

Pythonnado - the 'Movie'...

This is such great news! We already have Copperheads and Coral snakes where I live. Why not add some Cottonmouths too?
What's left of Florence is now in my neighborhood and it's not good. Things are starting to flood and trees are already falling. We could all use some good thoughts.

@ nursecindy-- I'm sorry about your snake problems. Don't the alligators eat them? Out West our Arizona coral snakes are small, usually under two feet long and shy. I imagine the Eastern ones are much larger and aggressive as a junk yard dog. I don't want to get close enough to a cottonmouth to see what the inside of it's mouth looks like.
There is a jingle to tell a coral snake from a harmless king snake.
"Red touch yellow, kill a fellow....or is it red touch black kills Jack. Or maybe reverse that?"
Ummm...maybe just call 911 and let them figure it out.

Maybe not Great Whites, but....

{{nursecindy}} Sounds like it's time to throw your patio furniture into your pool as a precautionary measure, if you have not already done so.
Hunker, brace, and gird is the hurricane version of stop, drop, and roll.
Seriously: keep us posted, but most of all STAY SAFE.
We need you around here!

What MOTW said, nursecindy...I put you in the prayer chain.

Best wishes, Cindy.
In the meantime I suggest as the scientific term Reptyphoon, Tsssssunami, Cyclobra, Bitingale, or Snakes on a Rain.

Pythons on the storm
Pythons on the storm
Into this house we're born
Into this world we're thrown
Like a dog without a bone
An actor out on loan
Pythons on the storm
There's a rattler on the road
His brain is squirmin' like a toad
Take a long holiday
Let your children play
If you give this man a ride
Sweet family will die
Rattler on the road, yeah
Girl, you gotta love your man
Girl, you gotta love your man
Take him by the hand
Make him understand
The world on you depends
Our life will never end
Gotta love your man, yeah
Pythons on the storm
Pythons on the storm
Into this house we're born
Into this world we're thrown
Like a dog without a bone
An actor out on loan.
Pythons on the storm
Pythons on the storm
Pythons on the storm
Pythons on the storm
Pythons on the storm
Pythons on the storm

Qaz: Winter is long and hard, but I'll take it any day next to poisonous snakes.
Posted by: Clankie | September 16, 2018 at 10:03 PM
@Clankie - Do you know what is long and hard - a snake!

I'm looking for the MONTY Pythons. Anybody seen them?
Posted by: funny man | September 17, 2018 at 11:42 AM
Thanks, Bulova... I'm still on the bus —
And it's still playing on the stereo.

Aaaaaannnd I missed a totally obvious opportunity by leaving out the storm's name "Florence" when nominating the snakeful "Bitingale." Kind of like this gardening businesses did when they included a superfluous, pun-ruining ampersand.

@ LeDud and fractalist (shouting through an open window on the bus). Supposedly the "official" words to "Riders on the Storm"--if Morrison was actually ever fully conscious when when he sang it.
