If they build it, people will leave offerings of melted butter and various condiments.

A memorial for all those lobsters who failed to make it into the pot and onto the table is Definitely A Good Idea.

A former Vice President will be designated to deliver the eulogy.

Actively avoid abhorrent arthropod abuse!

I know I will never forget where I was when I heard the news of the horrible loss of life. It was a gut punch and I still feel the pain daily, around noon.

So, when the truck crashed, it in effect did a lobster roll?

I think twin fountains of drawn butter and lemon would make a nice, tasteful touch to the memorial.

The Ruination of The Crustacean was Frank Zappa's fifth album, right?

A large lobster cracker would be tasteful.

I think my friends Lepetomane, Gustav A. Honkentooter and probably a few others would agree that there is grave danger in a vegan diet. Just picture that weapon the aliens fired in Independence Day...(shudders)

Just say no to cabbage and lentils.

Anybody know if vegans eat animal crackers??

I like the old mountain man saying grace;

"Bless the meat an' damn the skin. Pull back yer ears an' let's dig in."

Somehow I can't see PETA putting that on a monument.

I’m a member of a rebel offshoot of PETA. People Eating Tasty Animals. I, too, mourn the loss of our tasty friends. They would have made many a belly happy. RIP, lil guys, RIP.

But PETA doesn't care about all the crabs, shrimps, and all the assorted Congress Critters that have died?

Shame on them! (For 12-weeks I shall eat no PETA members...)

Meh. PETA just put up ludicrous anti-crab eating in Baltimore. In the words of the whole population of Crab City, "Dumbasses". Ranks right up there with the Vegan Restaurant Week where one establishment offered vegan crab cakes made with zucchini.

The far side once haad a Donner Party monument of two big slices of bread with a foot sticking out. Maybe if the PETA lobster monument showed a steaming red lobster on a serving platter with a side of baked potato it would have gone down better.
