When I was still working as a nurse I realized that you could give a patient the best medicine that was ordered by the best doctor and they would eventually feel better. But, if you gave them a smile or a laugh, they'd feel just a little bit better immediately.
Several years ago I went through a very rough time with my health and I don't know what I would have done without Dave's books. I sat down one night and started reading "Dave Barry's Guide To Guys" and found myself laughing for the first time in months. I can't even tell you how much better I felt.
If you find you're going through "Dave withdrawal" come visit us on the Dave Barry Fan Facebook page. SuzieQ Wacvet and I are the administrators and it's a great site about Dave. There's also another one called Blogits on FB. We don't get paid for doing the Fan or Blogits page. At least I don't. Sue always changes the subject when I ask her if she gets paid. Just kidding, Sue!
