I saw this on the news last night. There is also a donut station halfway through the race.

For those in Michigan on Labor Day and not up to the rigors of the 5+ mile walk over the Mackinac Bridge, I recommend a short drive southeast for the State Street bridge walk in Cheboygan -- a whopping 250 feet across the Cheboygan River, followed by free hot dogs and chips (sorry, no beer).
