You know, I can see where after a certain amount of alcohol that this would seem logical.

Now there's a visual for you: guy undresses his large unconscious wife in attempt to use cold temperature to shock her awake. And when that does not work, he ties a dog leash around her torso and uses a winch to drag his beloved up a flight of stairs, bashing her about in the process.
Jeff, it would take an awful lot of alcohol to make that appear logical.

nursecindy--"Technically this should have worked." is the plot line for nearly every Coen Brothers film. It also could describe the design engineer trying to explain why the Titanic sunk. I love that line!
