We played last night at the Tucson Festival of Books, and it was a highly successful show as judged by the standard of nobody getting seriously injured. Here’s a photo that was taken during rehearsal of Amy Tan delivering a heartfelt rendition of “Why Don’t We Do It In The Road?” as (from right) Greg Iles, Alan Zweibel and I look on with undisguised admiration.

And here I am after the show with drummer Josh Kelley (right) and Elvis Presley, a.k.a. Mitch Albom.

Josh Kelly has a perfect "what the hell just happened here?" look on his face.

Good to see that Amy Tan is still in perfect form. Musically, that is. I'm ashamed to say I've never checked out any of her books.

I'm assuming Mitch "Elvis" Albom was dressed that way to do " Jailhouse Rock". Either that, or he raided Liza Minelli's wardrobe.

The show was good (and worth every penny!). Thanks for the rain, too.

It's the next line of the song that's key, though I hope a lot of folks were watching, whether or not you actually performed in the road.

The Wit-ish Invasion

Nice, um, wig. At least I hope that's a wig, for the sake of Mitch's progeny.

Too cute.Put up another one of your songs you did

Say Dave what are you drinking in that picture. Some voodoo juice? (ha)

Where in the *HELL* was Joan Biaz.

This proves that Elvis really is dead.
