Hey, we've all been there. San Francisco has "misplaced" our luggage twice, and had to deliver it the next day.

Reminds me of the Three Stooges all pointing in different directions. The airport said all facilities were functioning & airlines must ensure they have proper staff available, BA said it was something beyond their control, and Swissport said it was due to bad weather.
If it truly was weather, the should have communicated that to the passengers without making them wait 1-1/4 hours.

I was not surprised to read that SwissPort was involved. They could mismanage a junkyard. Or perhaps mess up a dirt clod fight. Here in Anchorage an airline with a name that rhymes with “schmelta” hired SwissPort to handle the bags for their evening flights. After several weeks and MANY complaints three weeks worth of outbound bags were found piled in a back area of the SwissPort building. Thouroughly rifled. SwissPort was actually upset at losing the contract. Then there was the time they cost another airline that rhymes with “Schmondor” over $100,000 in fines for intentionally falsifying paperwork. That was one Civil Penalty I enjoyed writing. Sometimes you should not go with the low bidder.
