We Alaskans legalized pot. The legal stuff costs about twice what the black market dope goes for. Mostly the shops sell to tourists. The black market guys are loving it because they raised their prices and still look like a bargain. I also suspect their ability to offer really cheap heroin enhances their market position. Every month the State breathlessly announces the amount of dope taxes collected. They never mention the cost of administering the program. Probably because the costs dwarf the taxes collected. OK, I'm done. Time to go drive with all the slow folks drifting about the streets of Anchorage.
