Was it a last minute wedding invite? Was the pug her plus one? Why the "last minute emergency"? Inquiring minds, etc.

When I first read the text under the headline that links to the article, I thought it said "pet pig"... and I was glad this woman wasn't from Iowa, where live. Plenty of embarrassing news comes out of this state as it is. And, we have lots of pigs.
