Oklahoma student brings dead squirrel to class, wanted to eat it

Which part of the squirrel is your favorite, Miss Stephanie?

As a former teacher, my wife would have asked him if he brought enough for the class to share.

Squirrel dumplings? That's crazy. Now squirrel FRITTERS, now THEM's good eatin'.

Waste not want.

I think is is quite logical that he wanted to eat a dead squirrel. Trying to eat a live one is quite difficult, just like trying to bury a not quite dead cat.

Was the squirrel a "free range" squirrel ?

When I was teaching sixth grade, I would have skinned, necropsied, and mounted it for the class, but not eaten it (unless it was really fresh). They wasted a teachable moment.

At least he didn't make a purse (sorry, he's a guy, "European Carryall") out of it.
