LEST YOU THINK HE WAS A ONE-HIT WONDER: HE ALSO WROTE 'BUCKLE UP FOR SAFETY, BUCKLE UP'

The man who got generations of hot dog lovers singing along to the Oscar Mayer Wiener song has died.

(Thanks to Bill Melater, who asks "What did they use as a hearse?")

Sad. Now the only songster of that high quality left is Randy Newman.

I hear he also wrote "It's a Small World."

Well now he could become an Oscar Meyer weiner. Just sayin.

Will the Wienermobile be the hearse??

Will the funeral be open- or closed-bun?

I can only imagine what his casket and tombstone will look like.

He wrote "McDonald’s is your kind of place"? I've never heard of it. I wonder where it stands in the ratings compared to Mr. Manilow's "You deserve a break today" jingle.
