This supposedly happened in 1996 and that fuzzy photo looks a lot like John Cleese. Oh yes, this all really happened.

It seems odd that an alien can be brought down by a thrown log after vaporizing a dog. It seems it should have vaporized the log as well. I wonder what dog vapor smells like?
