They still make Surf washing powder? You start off with something mild like Surf and before you know it you're into the heavy stuff like 20 Mule Team Borax.
She has a bad case of pica and really needs to see a doctor.

My crazy cousin Wesley once snorted some washing powder. He said his sinuses had never felt more clean and open. Then he went back to snorting powered mothballs. We haven't seen Wesley for quite a while.
