As long as it was his own prosthetic arm, I don't see an issue here.

Since it was his synthetic arm, shouldn't that be singular, as "civilian hand"?

He could have just given the cop the finger.

'The officer suffered a cut above his temple, bruising to his right eye, a cut on his elbow and abrasion on his wrist. He was treated at a hospital and released.'

Where was this officer officer during prosthetic arm S.W.A.T. response disarming tactic training?

Gives an new meaning to "Armed and Dangerous".

They can solve the case if they just find the one-armed man!

So, when they arrested him, how did they cuff him? :P

The man had clearly been disarmed. That should have taken care of the situation.

Understandable, given how much cars cost....
