I have a hunch there is a race of somethings out there that is actively trying to steer an asteroid or comet or some other rather large hurtling rock toward, rather than away from, Earth, and that they're getting more impatient every day.
Previous efforts at sabotaging the Earth have been only partially successful, but very suspicious evidence remains: see Honey Boo Boo, the Kardashians, Snookie, and the 2016 U.S. presidential election slate.

Yelling "Hey ASTEROID, we got your art right here!" only worked in foreign films.
