Washington's official snowfall of 17.8 inches is way off because weather observers LOST their measuring device during the blizzard

the lizzards ate them

Washington's...way off...

Kinda says it all, doesn't it?

There's only one tape measure in all of DC?

You mean those day-before forecasts with the high Luau Suitability Index were inaccurate?

When I went out to check the snowfall my 'measuring device' just barely touched the top of the drift! (Hoping for shrinkage!)

We had about 6" of snow here in North Carolina. That wasn't so bad. It was the 1/2" of ice under it that bothered me. Come on spring and summer! I'm tired of complaining about the cold weather. I'm ready to start complaining about the hot weather.
