'I PICTURE A COWBOY CRASHING A PARTY AND SHOOTING TWO REVOLVERS INTO THE AIR'

Texas is so crazy Norwegians are literally using ‘Texas’ as slang for ‘crazy’

(Thanks to Jeff Meyerson, who says "Clearly these people have never heard of Florida.")

Yosemite Sam is so stereotyped.

Yeah, Texas has got nothing on Florida or California. Or Flathead County.

Yeah, Florida is crazy, but Texas is its own kind of crazy. Waco crazy. Death backin' out of an outhouse readin' Mad Magazine crazy. Football bat crazy.*

* Thank you Ken Weaver, author of "Texas Crude," the most useful book of regional expressions ever written. If those Norwegians ever get hold of a copy they'll never speak Norwegianese again.

Yeah, right... people who eat lutefisk aren't batsh*t crazy.

And, if you want to refer to a place that's prepped out to the max, you would say, "OMG...that is just SOOOO Connecticut."

Hey, wait a minute! Lutefisk aside, Norwegians are well-known for their unbelievably high IQ's. Who did they give the Nobel Peace prize to?

Al Gore

and don't forget Rigoberta Menchu

and, ... and ... I can't go on

It's a joint Norwegian/Swedish venture-- but the prize money is Swedish.
