Back when I was in band camp...

I often heard the phrase "Who is that clown with the trombone?"

Disclosure: I played the trombone.

We might as well shred the Constitution right now.

The Drunken Trombone Playing Clowns wbagnfarb that I would never pay money to see.

Was it a Rusty Trombone?

Get a bagpiper and have a shootout.

"Never look encouragingly at the brass."
(German composer Richard Strauss' advice to conductors)

Often paraphrased to:
"Never look at the trombones -- you'll only encourage them."

I also recall a Funky Winkerbean cartoon with Harry L. Dinkle (World's Greatest Band Director) announcing to his high school band that they will be performing in a Fourth of July parade -- to which one of the brass players asks "When is it?"

A trombone?
What a monster!

I saw the Drunken Trombone-Playing Clowns warming up for Everclear back in '02. Helluva show.

The tail bone's connected to the trombone....
I learned that in nursing school.

Those clowns are going crazy lately, and I am not talking about the Congress this time.
