My late stepmother was Japanese and always had 50+ rolls of toilet paper on hand and this was in the wild backcountry of Honolulu. I guess it's a cultural thing.

I wonder if I should lay in a supply for a regular month or a month when the power's gone out and you have to eat the stuff in the refrigerator before it goes bad. A regular month's worth doesn't last a week in the latter case.

I've always wondered why so many of our oriental new Canadians buy toilet paper in 50 roll packages. Tidal waves in Toronto are rare but it pays to be prepared!
