Nice. I guess now that the "crookedest town in Florida" is going down Tamarac thought they'd get their share of the money.

Across the country, lights are going off in civil servants' heads to enhance revenue collection by following the precedent.
We had a major road remain unopened after being done for several months while the various government units and utilities could be present at the same time to turn on one traffic light. Everyone trying to get to the hospital from the west was pretty much screwed since the alternative roads were behind the traffic backup that formed from 7 am to 8:30 am and 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A lot of localities are low on money, especially to handle pensions. I could really see this expanding till there is a voter rebellion. Then we'll have to set up a PERIMETER....slurp....

Sorry, I find it hard to sympathize with someone who decides the best option when having a heart attack is to jump into a 4000 pound machine and navigate busy highways in the hope that they don't succumb on the way to the ER, possibly taking out a few additional unfortunates as well.

I'll believe ALL this stuff is for safety when I see two things: Cops in police vehicles wearing seat belts while driving the speed limit on the Interstate.
Shoot, I'll settle for one. Either one. I'm easy.

I wonder what the statistics are for the vandalization of these cameras? I googled it (I expect a knock at the door any minute) and there were no specifics available. Just wondering.
