Could God be testing out different Apocalypse scenarios for effect, you think, before the Real Thing gets unleashed? There's this tumbelweedocalypse - kind of scary, but not massively so. Then, there's been the Eternal Winter scenario, the Great Louvre Sheep Invasion, and, finally (shudder), The Rise Of Honey Boo Boo.
