Random reactions to this story:
She was "A Lower Macungie woman..."; my studies in anthropology have been wide and varied, but I'm not familiar with the Lower Macungie. Is it a geographic or chronological classification? Or a grouping of sites with similar ceramic styles?
And -- especially if the photo of a burrito included in the story was representative of the ones the perpetrator used -- how could her family tell they'd been poisoned on purpose or just as per usual. I mean, they ate burritos, they got sick (I assume); how is that different from any other day?
Life is so puzzling when I haven't been out for my coffee yet.

Also, Lower Macungie is one of my favorite place names.
"Yes, Mom's in the hospital. They had to evacuate her lower macungie."

Are they sure it just wasn't the extra-spicy burritos from Taco Bell ?

There's also an Upper Macungie, but no Middle Macungie, so I don't understand how burritos get from one to the other.

One of the saddest cases I ever saw in the e.r. was a guy that had a problem with his lower macungie.
