STAY CLASSY, FORMER MEMBERS OF CONGRESS

Six former members of Congress, who were paid $20,000 each, heard testimony on the U.S. government trying to cover up contact made with extraterrestrial life.

(Thanks to Jeff Meyerson, who asks, "So why is this different from any other day in Congress?")

focus on the EX congresspeople. there's a reason for that. i dont need to write a joke. they do it themselves...

Former Rep Caroline Cheeks Kilpatrick was one of 'em. She took time out from visiting her son, Kwame, the former Mayor of Detroit, in the Federal Pen in Milan.

How do you tell the ex-congresspeople apart from space aliens?

What's really scary is that these people vote. It explains a lot.

KLATOO VERACK N.....I just know I'll screw this up when the time comes.

♫ Come and listen to my story bout a man named Ed,
who witnessed alien craft flying overhead,
Kin folks told him, "DC is where you need to be"
So they all ran for Congress...♫

Pensions, health care, outrageous salaries...

The US Congress Critters....

Even though there's no caption, you know every ex-Congressperson is thinking the same thing:

"$20,000...$20,000...$20,000."

Shoot, I'd a done it for $10,000.
I've seen UFOs twice but I don't talk about it. When I did, people kept asking me what it was?
I had to keep explaining what the "U" part stood for.

Look at the ex-congress guy in the middle of the photo Is he asleep, or is he dead? For $20,000, it is difficult to tell.

I too have seen flying things that I can't explain. Delta's on-time departure record, for example...

Woke up this mornin' with light in my eyes
and then realized it was still dark outside
there was a light shinin' down from the sky
and I don't know who or why.
Must be those spacemen who come every night
with saucer-shaped lights, makin' people uptight
leavin' green footprints that glow in the dark
I hope they got home all right.

Gort! Klaatu nicto borada, Gort.
