He probably should have worded it differently but the principal sounds like a jerk.

Double sigh! I am stuck between both positions but know that for good or bad this grotesque incident will recede to the back of memory and Santa will return with his surprises.

I don't find the message threatening, except in the sense that the little genius who wrote it will someday be old enough to run for public office.
