The picture looks nice. That's a start.

At least he went by Richard.

For recreational use.

Saw a similar notification of this location a while back ... not sure where, so I wouldn't suggest ennybuddy be fired ...

HOWever, Richard Bong wuz a WWII hero, and this place is a Memorial to his service. (I'm thinkin' I recall that correctly.)

Say what you want, and make fun if you will, but Bong was the real thing.

hmmm....... i'm not sure if i should suck or blow....

Dude.

Chuck Barris' favorite park. No wait... that was gong.

Bong shot down 40 enemy planes and won the Medal of Honor. And he was born in Superior in the far northwest corner of Wisconsin, as far away from his recreation area as you get get without going to Minnesota.

Unlike a lot of WWII heroes with things named for them, Bong came home safely but was killed in August 1945 test flying a jet aircraft.

Inhale deeply. And hold it, Hold it.

Then release.

The natural fresh clean herb air of Bong park.

Not only was Bong an ace, he flew the P-38, not the easiest plane to master, but a devastating gun platform in the right hands.

In the left hands, it didn't work so well. Sorry. I gave you almost 24 hours to come up with that on your own.
